First you find the difference between the y values.

6 - 3 = 3.

Then the x values.

4 - -2 = 6

Now form a triangle and use a^2 + b^2 = c^2

3^2 + 6^2 = x^2

9 + 36 = x^2

x = √(45), or 3√(5)

The distance is 3√(5).
