In two circles, but the radius of the

larger circle is three times the radius of the smaller
circle. If the area of the larger circle is 60.84m, what
is the area of the smaller circle?

Answer:

6.76 m^2

Explanation:

Large circle area = pi r^2 = pi L^2 = 60.84

then L = sqrt (60.84/pi)

Small circle radius = r = 1/3 L

small circle area = pi r^2

= pi ( 1/3 sqrt (60.84/pi))^2 = 6.76 m^2
