let the number be "x" .

now according to the given question ;

  • (2x+6)×(-3)=-3x +54
  • -6x -18 = -3x + 54
  • 6x - 3x = -18-54
  • 3x = -72
  • x = -72/3
  • x = -24

The required answer is -24 .
