Answer:

(x + y)² = 121

Explanation:

Using the identity

(x + y)² - (x - y)² = 4xy , then

(x + y)² - 5² = 4(24) , that is

(x + y)² - 25 = 96 ( add 25 to both sides )

(x + y)² = 121
