What is the Tea Act?

The Tea Act came after the Boston Tea Party and was meant as punishment for the price of the ruined tea.
The king knew that the British loved their tea, so he placed a duty on all teas to increase the money he could collect and
spend in England.
The Tea Act was one way the colonists tried to get back at the king for all of the horrible acts he was placing on the
colonists.
O Parliament made British tea cheaper than other tea sold in the colonies which hurt colonial tea merchants' businesses.
