Given parameters:

We have two shapes, the rectangle and semi circle;

The problem is to find the perimeter of the shape given

The perimeter of a body is the total length of the body.

Here, it is the sum of the perimeter of the rectangle and semi-circle.

Note, to remove repetition, we to deduct 6 which is a common point to both of them.

Perimeter of a semi-circle = Circumference of semi- circle

= πr² x
(1)/(2)

The diameter here is 6 and radius is 3;

Circumference of semi-circle = π x 3² x
(1)/(2) = 14.14

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(6+8) = 28

The perimeter of the figure = 14.14 + 28 - 6 = 36.1

The perimeter of the figure is 36.1
