(-12+x) / 11 = -3
-12+x = -33
x=-21

Answer is -21

First step is to times both sides by 11 which would take away the fraction on the left and multiply -3 by 11 which makes it -33. Then you are left with -12+x=-33 so you add -12 on both sides so you are left with x=-21

Answer:

x = - 21

Explanation:

(-12+x)/(11) = - 3 ( multiply both sides by 11 to clear the fraction )

- 12 + x = 11 × - 3 = - 33 ( add 12 to both sides )

x = - 21
