Read the excerpt below and decide if Elliot is being abused by his father. What advice would you give him?

"Help, my father keeps hitting me for things I didn't do. When I tell him what happened he hits me more and calls me a lair. If I don't tell him what he wants to hear, I get hit, but sometimes he won't let me tell him what he wants to hear and will force me to "lie" until I tell the "truth"(what he ends up wanting to hear). Yes, Elliot is being abused by his father because he is being physically abused by his father by his father beating him multiple time for no absolute reason.
The advice I would give him would to get help from an adult or save up to move out of that home to have a better life. I would suggest to get help from somebody you know. An adult would be the best option.
