Step-by-step explanation: when you have this type of equation you would want to distribute 5 into 2 y and the -6 and 2 into 5y and -15

for more help just look up a calculator online

i noticed after a few steps you would get 10y on each side when i solved it. It gave me 0=0

there fore the numbers are equal
