How would you give a cat a pill by dropping it down his throat, when he's trying to fight you off?

Sometimes you can just like crumble it to small pieces & put some water & then put it in one of the those graduated syringe.

I have a dog and and I have to do that just hold there throat up like ur petting it and when u drop it in their throat rub their necks so they can Swallow it lol then give them a treat so they can get used to it
