I do agree, I think earth is not the best name for the planet. first off lets talk about its history. earth got its name of course from god, but other then that the Latin word for earth is saeculum or sacellum, Tellus, terrestrosin and terrestrium. if you look up these words their definition will mostly say " related to earth". well only terrestrium says that. to me I think the planet could of been name BI-234 , just a random combination of numbers and letters. but at some point you have to base stuff of their history, earth could of meant "water than land" back in the days and that's how it probably got its name. but of course we dont know that because people leave out important and correct information on purpose to mess our brains up. but earth is the name the creator of this universe chose. so we just have to stick to it.
