28 grapes in total

Explanation:

grapes are shared in the ratio 2 : 5 = 2x : 5x ( x is a multiplier )

Eva gets 12 more grapes than Dora , then

5x = 2x + 12 ( subtract 2x from both sides )

3x = 12 ( divide both sides by 3 )

x = 4

total grapes = 2x + 5x = 7x = 7 × 4 = 28

Eva gets 5x = 5 × 4 = 20

Dora gets 2x = 2 × 4 = 8

that is Eva gets 12 more than Dora
