Given the functions f(x)=7x-2 amd g(x)=3x+6, find the value of x for which F(x)=g(x)

<=> 7x-2=3x+6

<=> 7x-3x=6+2

<=> 4x=8

<=> x = 2

7x-2 = 3x+6
4x = 8
x = 2
When x=2 f(x)=g(x)
Check:
f(2) = 7(2)-2 = 14-2 = 12
g(2) = 3(2)+6 = 6+6 = 12
12 = 12 :. f(2) = g(2)
