Describe the role of bacteria in fermentation.

(please do not give me the google defenition it doesnt even make sense to me)​

fermentation is basically a metabolic process used by bacteria under anaerobic conditions to generate energy for cell growth

some words mentioned -

anaerobic : "living, active, occurring, or existing in the absence of free oxygen"

metabolism / metabolic : "chemical processes that occur within a living organism in order to maintain life"

The bacteria (yeast if im not mistaken) will respire anaerobically, breaking down glucose into ethanol and carbon dioxide
