How did the Roaring Twenties set the stage for the Great Depression?

I'm not sure what you mean "set the stage" in this sense but I'll do my best to answer it!

the roaring 20s was a time of great economic prosperity and poor were buying stocks and the stock market was at an all time high. however, by 1929 people began selling their stocks and the value of each stock plummeted and therefore the stock market itself crashed and then the worlds economy was then effected by this crash as being able to trade was more difficult and so america went from being a economic paradise to being poverty stricken.
