JM is parallel to KL by the definition of parallelogram (opposite sides of any parallelogram are parallel)

Therefore, angle 1 = angle 2 by the corresponding angles postulate

We're also given angle 2 = angle 3

So angle 1 = angle 3 by the transitive property of congruence
