The population at the end of the 10 years is 6,500.

Given that,

A town with a population of 5,000 grows 3% per year.

We need to find the population at the end of 10 years.

Based on the above information, the calculation is as follows:

= 5,000 + 1,500

= 6,500

Therefore we can conclude that the population at the end of the 10 years is 6,500.

6500 because if you take 3% of 5000 you get 150, so that’s 150 more people in the population per year. So you multiply 150 times 10 and you get 1500 and then you add your 5000 and get 6500.
