Explanation:

The sides of a regular octagon are all the same length.

x +6 = 14 -x

2x = 8 . . . . . . add x-6

x = 4

x+6 = 10 . . . . the length of each of the 8 sides

P = 8s = 8(10) = 80

The perimeter of the octagon is 80 units.
