(x+4)^2 -2 = 7


(x+4)^2 -9 = 0 (Taking 7 to the other side)


(x+4)^2 -
3^2 = 0

Now use the difference of two squares rule

[((x+4)+3).((x+4)-3)] = 0

[(x+7).(x+1)] = 0

Now solve for x

x = -1, -7
