$\\ \rm\Rrightarrow cosA=(Base)/(Hypotenuse)$

$\\ \rm\Rrightarrow cos58=(x)/(9.4)$

$\\ \rm\Rrightarrow x=9.4cos58$

x=9.4cos(58°)

because the cosine function uses the ratio of the adjacent side to that of the hypotenuse.

9.4 is the hypotenus the ration is 58 degrees I believe
