SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!! 25 POINTS!!!

(I have two questions and even if you only answer one that’s fine just please)

1. The scale of a map says that 2 cm represents 4 km. What distance on the map (in cm) represents an actual distance of 6 km?

2. Using the same scale from the previous question, (2 cm represents 4 km), What is the actual number of km that is represented by 5 cm on the map?

Answer:

1. 3 cm

2. 10 km

Explanation:

1. 2 cm = 4 km

? cm = 6 km

6/4= 1.5 so 4*1.5=6

2*1.5=3 cm

2. 2 cm = 4 km

5/2=2.5 so 2*2.5=5

4*2.5= 10 km

The answer to the second question is 10 km
