  • 2x-5+7y-3=9x-1-y-8
  • 2x+7y-8=9x-y-9
  • 2x-9x-8+9=-y-7y
  • -7x+1=-8y
  • -7x=-8y-1
  • 7x=8y+1
  • x=8y+1/7

Answer:

\large\boxed{\sf x = (8y+1)/(7) }

\large\boxed{\sf x = (7x-1)/(8) }

Group the Variable's:

2 x - 5 + 7 y - 3 = 9 x - 1 - y -8

2x -9x + 7y +y = -1 -8 +5 + 3

-7x + 8y = -1

From this find x and y

For X

-7x + 8y = -1

-7x = -1 -8y

7x = 8y + 1

x = (8y +1)/7

For Y

-7x + 8y = -1

8y = -1 +7x

y = (7x -1)/8
