Other than replacing the equal sign with some sort of inequality sign, what is the one big difference we need to keep in mind when solving a linear inequality?

When solving a linear equality, one difference that we must keep in mind other than replacement of = sign with some equality sign is that when we do multiplication or division with a negative number, we are then required as a must to change the direction of the inequality sign.
