y < -4/3 or y > 4/3
Explanation:
|-6y| -9 > -1
Since this is an absolute value inequality, we need two equations to set up to solve for y
1st equation:
-6y - 9 > -1
2nd equation:
6y - 9 > -1
Solve both equations:
-6y-9>-1
-6y > 8
y < -4/3
6y -9 > -1

y > 4/3
