When there is a letter next to a number you multiply so it would be 2 x A and a is 3 so 2x3=6 but to get the answer you have to subtract 6 from the total 13 and you get 7

So the answer is 7!

Answer:

b=7

Explanation:

Plug 3 into a since a=3.

2(3)+b=13

Then solve for 2(3)

6+b=13

Now isolate the b, so move the 6 to the other side. (Basically subtract 6 from both sides)

b=13-6

b=7
