What is the largest of three consecutive integers whose sum is 39.

Answer:

Explanation:

If z is any integer then the next integer to z would be: z+1

And the next: z+1+1 = z+2 (the largest)

Their sum is 39 so:

z + z+1 + z+2 = 39

3z + 3 = 39

3z = 36

z = 12

z+2 = 12 + 2 = 14

check:

z+1=12+1=13,

14+13+12 = 39
