3. The area of a room is 100 ft2. If you are wanting to run a wire around the perimeter of the room, how long does the wire need to be?

Explanation:

To find the area you multiply 2 measurements, so to find the 2 measurements, you divide. 100/2=50. And because a stereotypical room has 4 walls, you add 50 4 times. Or to make it easier for you, 50x4. 50x4=200. So you would need 200 ft of wire.
