so i tried this the first time and got it wrong and now im on my last attempt and im even more confused. Please help and explain in detail! I cant learn anything if you just tell me the answer without going in detail and breaking down the problem.

Explanation:

6x - 5 (x = 10)

=6(10) - 5

=60 - 5

=55

In algebra if a variable is right beside a number then the number is multiplied by the variable for example 6x - 5, in this case x = 10 so 6 x 10 = 60. Then the next part is subtraction so

60 - 5 = 55. Therefore 55 is the answer.

(I haven't done this in a very long time so I might be wrong, sorry)
