The function f(x) has a minimum value of

2(-1)+2 = 0

The function g(x) has a minimum value of g(3) = -2

The function h(x) has a minimum value of h(1) = 3

Of the minimum values 0, -2, 3, the least is -2, corresponding to g(x).

f(x) = − 5 sin(2x − π) + 2 g(x) graph of a quadratic with points at 1, 2 and 3, negative-example-1
