3p + 7 = - 16 + 24p + 2

3p + 7 = 24p - 14 ( subtract 3p from both sides )

7 = 21p - 14 ( add 14 to both sides )

21 = 21p ( divide both sides by 21 )

1 = p , that is p = 1
