6(2-4y) +4(6y-2)<4(y+4) (distribute)

12-24y+24y-8<4y+16 (collect like-terms)

$12-8<4y+16\\4<4y+16\\-4y<16-4\\-4y<12\\y>(12)/(-4)$ (we flipped the sign because we divided by a negative)
