after leaving home for school, it had taken you 15 minutes to walk 1000 feet. if your destination is a total of 1200 feet from home, about how many minutes do you have left to walk?

Answer: 3 min

Explanation:

Step 1. Find the constant speed

you walked 1000 feet in 15 min

1000 ft/ 15min=200/3 ft / min

Step 2. Apply the constant speed to the left distance

You already walked 1000 feet and it is total 1200 feet

1200-1000=200 feet left

distance ÷ speed=time

200 ÷ (200/3)=3 min

Hope this helps!! :)
