Rewriting 32 as 2^5 and 1/4 and 2^-2

We know that a^b^c = a^ ( b*c)

2 ^ (-2x-2) = 2 ^ 5

Since the bases are the same, the exponents have to be the same

-2x-2 = 5

Add 2 to each side

-2x = 7

Divide by -2

x = -7/2
