Answer: North and South

Lines of Latitude are non-existent lines that are drawn across the Earth to help identify the locations of places better. Lines of Latitude are the horizontal ones that you will see in a map.

The Equation is the main latitudinal line and has a 0° value whilst the topmost and lowermost latitudinal lines are the North and South Poles with the North Pole being 90° north and the South being 90° south.

Lines of Latitude will tell you how far North or South an area is with these lines are guides.
