Solution:

We have,

  • Number of students = 22
  • Distance between any two consecutive student = 180 cm

To FinD:

  • Length of the line in cm and m.....
    ?

⚠️ Considering the lateral width of each student be negligible and then only considering the gap between them.

  • Between 2 students (Gap = 1)
  • Between 3 students (Gap = 2)

.................Similarly,

  • Between 22 students (Gap = 21)

We have, Length of Gap = 180 cm

➝ Total length of gaps = 180 cm × 21 = 3780 cm

Converting into m,

➝ 100 cm = 1 m

➝ 3780 cm = 3780 / 100 m

➝ 3780 cm = 37.80 m

Length of line:-

  • In cm ➝ 3780 cm
  • In m ➝ 37.8 m
