Abby and Katy are selling cheesecakes. There are apple and pecan cheesecakes. Abby sold 14 pecan and 3 apple cheesecakes for a total of $113. Katy sold 7 pecan and 8 apple cheesecakes for a total of $180. What's the cost of one pecan cheesecake and one apple cheesecake?

How would I set this up?

If you want to set up the equations:

let the cost of one apple cheesecake be
a and the cost of one pecan cheesecake be $p$

from Abby, $14p+3a=113$

and from Katy....?

then solve for both variables

can you take it from here?
