Answer:

Slope = 1/8

Grade = 12.5%

Explanation:

Hey there!

Well if the rise/run is 8/64

then the slope is 8/64,

8/64

simplified

1/8 is the slope

The decimal grade is 1/8 as a percent so,

1 ÷ 8 = .125

Move the decimal place 2 times to the right,

12.5% is the decimal grade

Hope this helps :)

Answer:

(1)/(8) is the slope, and the percent grade of this is 12.5%.

Explanation:

The slope of any linear equation is always rise over run.

Since we rise 8 feet for every 64 feet travelled horizontally, our fraction is

(8)/(64) which simplifies to
(1)/(8), so
(1)/(8) is the slope.

To find the percent grade, we find the decimal version of
(1)/(8) and multiply by 100.

1/8 = 0.125\\0.125\cdot100 = 12.5

Hope this helped!
