Answer:

The answer is 3( x - 2)(x + 6)

Explanation:

3x² - 12x - 36

To factorize the expression first factor 3 out of the expression

That's

3( x² - 4x - 12)

Factorize the terms in the bracket

To do so write - 4x as a difference

That's

3( x² + 6x - 2x - 12)

Factor out x from the expression

3[ x( x + 6) - 2 ( x + 6) ]

Next factor x + 2 out

We have the final answer as

3( x - 2)(x + 6)

Hope this helps you
