Final answer:

The Donbas region in Eastern Ukraine has a majority Ukrainian population but also has a significant Russian-speaking minority.

Step-by-step explanation:

Donbas is a region in Eastern Ukraine that consists of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts. The majority of the population in Donbas is Ukrainian. However, there is a significant Russian-speaking minority in the region. The conflict in Donbas is not solely based on ethnic identity, but rather is influenced by political, historical, and economic factors.
