The misleading use of a term with more than one meaning (by glossing over which meaning is intended at a particular time)

ex:
1) A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush. Therefore, a bird is worth more than President Bush.
2) Example: Evolution states that one species can change into another. We see that cars have evolved into different styles. Therefore, since evolution is a fact in cars, it is true in species.
3) "Giving money to charity is the right thing to do. So charities have a right to our money."
4) Only man is rational. No woman is a man. Therefore, no woman is rational. example: No one who has the slightest acquaintance with science can reasonably doubt that the miracles in the Bible actually took place. Every year we witness countless new miracles in the form recombinant DNA, micro-chips, organ transplants, and the like. (the word "miracle" does not have the same meaning in each case)

Evolution states that one species can change into another - evolution occur as a result of accumuated changes in the genetic constituent of an organic leading to formation of new species after a long period of time...Car does not evolve but living organism undergoes evolutionary changes.

Giving money to charity is the right thing to do. It means its logical and good when we give money to charity, charity has no right to anyone's money but its right to give charity organizations so as to help them.

Only man is rational. No woman is a man. Only man is rational means all human are rational they have the ability to think and reason in a sensible manner. Only man means its just a man that has the ability to thinking and act in a well mannered way.
