8/x=2/x-6

8=2-6x

Explanation:

8/x+2=2/x-4

Using cross products

8*(x-4) = 2 (x+2)

Distribute

8x - 32 = 2x+4

Subtract 2x

8x-2x -32 = 2x-2x+4

6x-32 = 4

Add 32

6x-32+32 = 4+32

6x = 36

Divide by 6

6x/6 = 36/6

x = 6
