this is a right triangle so we can use sohcahtoa

we want to calculate angle A

we know the side opposite to A as well as the hypotenuse. 13 is the hypotenuse because it is opposite the right angle

thus, sin(A) = opposite/hypotenuse = 12/13

arcsin(12/13) = A ≈ 67.38 degrees
