The following numbers are given: 17, 25, 35, 43, 55, 119, 187. Choose four numbers from the given numbers and write them in the boxes of 2×2 grid so that the numbers in the neighbor boxes are not co-prime and the numbers in non-neighbor boxes are co-prime. (Note that the neighbor boxes are those which share a side).

Answer:

Let's take two prime numbers and two composite numbers.

Prime numbers are 17 and 43

Composite numbers are 25 and 35 (119 and 187 are also composite but let's ignore them)

Now, while arranging it in the 2x2 grid so that the numbers in the neighbor boxes are not co-prime and the numbers in non-neighbor boxes are co-prime, the following arrangement will take place:

=> Number 17 in the upper left box

=> Number 25 in the upper right box

=> Number 35 in the bottom left box

=> Number 43 in the bottom right box.
