Well this is actually pretty simple.

You have to use the Pythagorean Theorum formula which is
a^2+b^2=c^2 and in this case we have a and c.

So c is 14 and a is 9 so we can plug those numbers in.


(9)^2+b^2=(14)^2.

So 9 squared is 81 and 14 squared is 196.

So to get b by itself we have to subtract 81 by 196 which is 115.

Now we have to find the square root of 115 and b which is b and about 10.7 units.

So The length of the remaining side is 10.7 units.
