Let the Length of the Tin =5x

Breadth of the Tin =4x

Since the bottom area of the tin is 80 square inches.


5x * 4x=80\\20x^2=80\\x^2=4\\x=2

Therefore:

Length of the Tin =5 X 2 =10 inches

Breadth of the Tin =4 X 2 =8 Inches

Height of the Tin =3 X 2=6 Inches

Volume of the Tin = Length X Breadth X Height
