When using a source, how do you determine whether a source is credible and should be quoted in your essay?

By finding it on the Internet
By asking a parent if they agree with the position of the writer
By using a search engine to find the answer and clicking on the first suggested result
By reading the source and determining the author's expertise and knowledge

To determine whether a source is credible or not one must read the source and determine the author’s expertise and knowledge in order to further understand the author’s pov/ opinion.

Answer:

"by reading the source and determining the author's expertise" is your answer.

Step-by-step explanation:

if you were to do any of the other choices, you would be misinformed or tainted by someone else bias. research should be neutral on the topic, backed by facts, not opinions.
