A garden is in the shape of a rectangle 85 m by 50 m.
Flowers are grown in 32% of the garden.
The rest of the garden is grass.
Work out the area of the garden that is grass.

Answer:

so you multiply 85 by 50 to find the area of the garden then you get 4250, I prefer the long way to do the math so I divide 4250 by 100 and get 42.5 I then multiply that by 32 and get 1360. You would then subtract 1360 from 4250 and get 2890. so 2890 is the area of grass!
