Your answer is -1/243

Use the rule that x^(-k) = 1/(x^k) to get

(-3)^(-5) = 1/( (-3)^5 ) = 1/( -243 )

Comparing 1/( -243 ) with the form 1/x, we see that x = -243

Answer: -243
