I am thinking of a number.

I multiply it by 11 and subtract 78.
I get the same answer if I multiply
by 6 and subtract 8.
What is my number?​

Explanation:

11x - 78 = 6x - 8

11x -6x = -8 + 78

5x = 70

x = 14

33 - 78 = -45

-45 x 6 = -270
