Given PQ : QR = 7 : 3 = 7x : 3x ( x is a multiplier )

PQ - QR = 72, substitute values

7x - 3x = 72

4x = 72 ( divide both sides by 4 )

x = 18

Thus

PR = PQ + QR = 7x + 3x = 10x = 10 × 18 = 180 cm
